Teaching disciplines

School subjects

Max offers one-on-one ongoing tuition for students in Years 4-10 (High school, non-HSC) and Years 11 & 12 (HSC).

HSC Subjects on offer include:

  • HSC English (incl. philosophy, legal studies, history);

  • HSC Chemistry;

  • HSC Mathematics (up to Extension 1);

  • In-session proofing and editing of student work.

Non-HSC subjects on offer include:

  • English, including reading practice;

  • Mathematics and numeracy;

  • Science;

  • Japanese.

Law Admissions Test preparation (UNSW students only)

Max offers Law Admissions Test (LAT) preparation sessions.

These are priced at $100 per session and are offered in the 6 weeks leading up to the LAT

Using examples, students will be expected to:

  • Identify the key facts in issue;

  • Address them logically;

  • Identify and consider a variety analytical techniques;

  • Use sources;

  • Develop persuasive writing techniques.

Violin and music

The violin is one of the most versatile and challenging instruments to learn.

Patience, practice and perseverance are the core elements of solid violin technique. These skills are transferable to disciplines beyond music.

Max tutors violin to all student types, including adult beginners!
