String to String Group in Saigon!

As part of an international collaboration between Vietnamese and Australian music students, the founding members of String to String Group travelled to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam.

Max and Daniel performed for the FPT University Traditional Instruments group. We thoroughly enjoyed hearing this wonderful group perform traditional songs with instruments including Vietnamese pipa, monochord and đàn tranh (Vietnamese harp).

Together with students from FPT University Traditional Music Group, String to String performed a number of traditional Vietnamese songs, and a local homage, including “I Call Australia Home”.
